The new scanner generation offers high speed colour capture (3min versus 15min of former solutions) for automatic overlays of 40 mio. colour pixels. Tracking down the Middle Ages with Photon Laser Scanner 07/10/2008 The medieval church of San Giacomo in Maspiano, Italy, is to be restored. Until recently, no complete plans of the structure existed. Using the Photon Laser Scanner a complete high-resolution survey of the church took less than one and a half days.
