Excavation of Zhoukoudian Peking Ape Man Cave Restored by the FARO Laser Scanner

It was May, 2009 that the first stage of a protective excavation started at Ape Man Cave in Zhoukoudian Ruins, China. Ape Man Cave had not been excavated since the 1970’s until now. The weathering and natural stress during the long period put the characteristics of the cave in danger.
