Korntal-Münchingen, 31 July, 2026 – FARO® INSIGHT, a business of AMETEK®, Inc., has introduced new enhancements to its FARO Blink™ Imaging Laser Scanner: sharper 360° imagery, richer point cloud data, and faster processing workflows. The release continues the development cadence Blink has followed since its April 2025 launch, shaped by customer feedback, and is available to every existing Blink through a free firmware update.
Blink pairs high-quality point cloud data with 360° images to create a clear, accurate view of any environment, with guided workflows and automated registration that keep work moving from capture to final delivery. It operates within a connected environment: the Stream App gives real-time feedback during capture, FARO Sphere® XG enables cloud-based processing and collaboration, and SCENE keeps data local for registration, analysis and quality control.
