Why we chose Junior over Senior:
We were looking to build a bike that would blow everyone away and truly celebrate our 30th Anniversary. Being a leading edge, high-tech company we needed a unique creativity that could only be found in Paul Jr. and the guys at his shop.
Did we ever consider a bike build with Senior:
Prior to this build we had never considered building a custom chopper before. Before committing to this build with Junior, Senior had approached us for a build at the same time so we accepted proposals from both companies. What Junior had to offer was more appealing, and with his imagination and originality we made the choice to build with Junior.
Are we upset that Mikey broke the prototype:
No, not at all! The prototype that the guys had in the shop was built from SLS plastic and had no internal components. It was provided to PJD to serve as a visual representation of what the production model would look like, to give Junior inspiration for the bike. We think it’s funny that Mikey broke it, especially when Junior told him to glue it back together.
What does the 30th Anniversary bike represent:
We are a high-tech, innovative company and we wanted our 30th anniversary bike to not only represent the new technology of the FARO Edge but also communicate our commitment to innovation. Since our technology was used to build the bike, we wanted the technology reflected in the bike as well.
