Oceaneering was looking to improve their measurement processes by replacing traditional, less accurate tools such as tape measures. While working on a Landing Craft Air Cushion for a US Navy Hovercraft, they needed to monitor the distortion and movement on the aluminum fan housing bearing base. With the FARO Laser Tracker, they were able to easily capture the as-built dimensions and ensure that those dimensions remained intact upon job completion.
