High Resolution Array Imagers for Quality Inspection and Factory Automation Applications

FARO’s portfolio of Cobalt Array Imagers has been expanded to now include a higher-resolution, 9 megapixel model. The new 9MP version is ideally suited for capturing fine details and features on edges and surfaces including stamped or engraved parts. The 5MP version remains the ideal solution for customers who do not require high-resolution data capture. Both versions feature on-board processing, blue light technology, interchangeable lenses, high dynamic range and automatic exposure.

An unlimited number of Cobalt Imagers can be placed in array configurations virtually anywhere in a manufacturing process – all scanning simultaneously and controlled by a single computer.  Ideal for integration within the production environment, Cobalt can also be installed in more conventional ways, such as in conjunction with a rotary table, robot, or industrial inspection cell.

Priced for rapid return on investment, the Cobalt Array Imager allows manufacturers to simultaneously improve throughput and quality by reducing inspection cycle times.
