Technology is continuing to shape the construction industry and as the Director of the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) segment for the Americas, Rob Miller is passionate about helping contractors improve production and profitability through the adoption of innovative technologies.

Rob began his career in construction technology in 2001. He has helped pioneer robotic total station solutions specific to building construction layout. In addition to construction layout, Rob has been involved with the development and go-to-market of other construction technologies, including laser scanning, job site personnel management and access control, unmanned aircraft and 3D machine control.

With a desire to innovate, Rob was part of a team that researched and developed a robotic vehicle for automated layout in 2012 — a technology that is being brought to market eight years later. Rob currently has seven U.S. patents related to construction layout and positioning technologies.

Rob holds a Bachelor of Science in Geomatics from the University of Florida and is a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America. He lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee with his wife and two sons.
