Using 3D CAD files to provide a virtual templating solution eliminates the need for physical templates and hard tooling. The risk of human error and costly rework/scrap during assembly is significantly reduced. Manufacturers can avoid the time and expense associated with using large, heavy templates while significantly improving quality control processes. An easy-to-use operator interface minimizes both the time and skill required for operation.
The FARO TracerSI Laser Projector coupled with powerful BuildIT Projector software offers:
- Targetless, Feature-Based Alignment:
Retroreflectors do not have to be placed on or around the object or assembly, thereby reducing the time required for setup. - In-Process Verification:
Throughout the assembly process, using advanced laser imaging along with BuildIT Projector software, the TracerSI allows users to go beyond standard templating and confidently verify the absence or presence of features, objects and even unwanted objects on the in-process and/or final assembly.
Intended for large-scale applications, FARO Tracer Laser Projectors feature accurate, variable and long-range projection to cover an envelope of up to 15.2 x 15.2 meters (50 x 50 feet) with a 3D projection range of 1.8 to 15.2 meters (6 to 50 feet).
