Mooncraft was founded by car designer, Mr. Takuya Yura. The company designs and develops racing cars, creates aerodynamics using in-house wind tunnel test equipment and manufactures car components made from carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP).
Previously, Mooncraft carried out its measurements using only 2D instruments such as calipers and layout machines. However, as 3D computer-aided design (CAD) technologies advanced and grew in popularity, car component designs became more complicated as well, and it was no longer sufficient to rely on subjective judgment. This led to Mooncraft introducing the FARO® ScanArm and Design ScanArm to its operations. Since then, they have shortened their delivery time by reducing preparation and measurement times, and created room for even more innovation in their design.
