The FARO Vantage Laser Trackers are extremely accurate, portable coordinate measuring machines that enable you to build products, optimize processes, and deliver solutions by measuring quickly, simply and precisely. These Laser Trackers feature FARO’s patent-pending ActiveSeekTM capability to quickly sync up the user and the tracker to measure faster than any other laser tracker in the market today.

Vantage Laser Trackers optimize workflow productivity management for large-scale metrology applications including, but not limited to, assembly alignment, part and assembly inspection, machine installation and alignment, and reverse engineering.

The VantageS is intended for short-to-long range measurement applications of up to 80 meters, while the VantageE supports short-to-medium range applications of up to 35 meters. Both compact models offer:

  • ActiveSeek™: FARO’s patent-pending feature to quickly and efficiently locate and lock onto a target – allowing the Vantage to follow a moving SMR (Spherically-Mounted Retroreflector), even behind obstacles, and lock onto the SMR again when it is in a stable position. Stereo cameras with a 50° field of view, the best in the industry, make ActiveSeek effective across a wide footprint.
  • RemoteControls™: FARO’s patented feature which enhances workflow by allowing a user to control functions such as live video feed and tracker movements with a mobile phone or tablet.
  • Industry-leading portability with an integrated master control unit (MCU). These Laser Trackers are easily transported between job sites or locations within the factory in a single carrying case.
  • Hot swappable batteries that eliminate the need for AC power and cabling.
  • Industrial grade WiFi for reliable, wireless communications.

The FARO VantageS and VantageE are high-performance, high-value Laser Trackers which allow users to maximize productivity and reduce inspection cycle times by 50% to 75%. These Laser Trackers set the standard in workflow productivity management for metrology applications.

The FARO Super 6DoF TrackArm combines the FARO Vantage platform (VantageS, VantageE, or legacy Vantage) with one or more FARO ScanArms to provide a six-degrees-of-freedom probe. Switching between the Tracker and the Arm, users can reach hidden points – even around corners and inside hole features. Line of sight issues are eliminated.

This solution enables users to inspect, reverse engineer or perform CAD-to-Part analysis with greater ease than ever before.

The Super 6DoF TrackArm is available as a complete system consisting of the Laser Tracker, ScanArm and TrackArm Kit.
